What Are Glyconutrients?
Glyconutrients are absolutely essential simple sugars that are beneficial with cellular communication for everyone!
We have been taught to avoid simple sugars contained in such items as table sugar, corn syrup, and honey.
And rightly so!
Too much of these sugars can contribute to obesity, diabetes, heart disease, and many other adverse health conditions.
However, not many of us know that there are actually eight essential simple sugars that are absolutely necessary for our optimal health.
These essential simple sugars are called glyconutrients.
- Mannose
- Galactose
- Fucose
- Glucose
- Xylose
- N-acetylgalactosamine
- N-acetylglucosamine
- N-acetylneuraminic acid
These sugars attach to proteins on most every cell wall in your body and are vital to cellular communication within your body. Your cells could not communicate adequately with each other without these sugars.
Research has shown remarkable health benefits due to each and every glyconutrient.
In particular, the immune system is highly improved to recognize and fight infectious agents and cancer cells by increasing natural killer cell and macrophage levels, and by initiating T-cell activity when necessary. On the other hand, the immune system can also be modulated by these sugars in order to decrease inflammation in autoimmune diseases.
These sugars also act like antioxidants by neutralizing free radicals, by slowing the aging process, and by protecting against toxins and pollutants.
Studies have also shown the following advantages of each glyconutrient.
- Prevents bacterial, viral, parasitic and fungal infections
- Decreases blood sugar and triglyceride levels
- Improves memory
- Aids brain development
- Assists learning
- Inhibits tumor growth
- Prevents allergic reactions
- Helps wound healing
- Stimulates calcium absorption
- Repairs cartilage
- Increases adult stem cells which assist with tissue repair
Unfortunately, we only obtain two of these eight sugars in our modern diet primarily due to nutrient depletion from the soil and food processing methods.
Therefore, we all most likely have glyconutrient deficiencies!
So, what can you do to overcome these deficiencies? You can take a glyconutrient supplement!
A glyconutrient supplement supplies the necessary nutrients for your body to perform optimally.
Many individuals with a variety of health problems have benefited from a glyconutrient supplement. In particular, tremendous improvements have been noted by various doctors in their patients with autism.
No known adverse effects have been reported.
Adults, children, and pregnant and lactating women can easily take a glyconutrient supplement.
